For users of the online booking website builder it is possible to customise the online booking text information for Cancellation Policy and Complaints Procedure.

Customising the Configurable Policies

Variable Default Recall Values

Recall Manager historically had a single default appointment length and recall interval for each recall service, and this was applied to all patients. For example an Examination service set at 20 minutes would apply to all patients, even though this appointment length may be more suited to an adult than a child.

From EXACT v12.2 the recall defaults can be flexibly overridden so that the appointment service, length and recall interval vary depending on patient Age, Payor, and Provider.

This is achieved by means of Overrides - unique patient groups with custom recall parameters that override the default recall values.

This feature enables flexible recall settings, greater automation, and easy recall changes by group rather than individual patient.

Configurable DOUBLE-CLICK ACTION for appointments in the appointment book and sidebar

By default when you double-click an appointment the Edit Appointment window opens.

However, from v12.2 the double-click action is configurable in Configure > User Settings: Double Click on Appointment.

This enables custom workflow processing, including patient workflow processing entirely by one individual from one location, such as in a single-dentist practice.

Practices that have customised the double-click can still edit appointments by means of right-click > Edit.

For appointments in the future or the past, which are not subject to the appointment workflow at the time of the double-click, the double-click will simply open the Patient File.

Note that there are further options in the appointment right-click context menu, including Edit Appointment, Open Patient Record, Reset Appointment Status and Move to Chair.

The appointment book right-click menu also includes Edit Appointment, Edit Patient and Open Patient Record.

Additional Clipboard functionality

Clipboard updates in EXACT v12.2:

• The clipboard has a right-click context menu.
• Search for an appointment slot using the new Search window introduced in v11.
• Search All appointment slots (usually for co-ordinated appointments) using the original Search window.
• Delete, Add and Edit clipboard appointments.

Cost Estimate has been renamed "Fee Estimate"

The Fee Estimate (previously "Cost Estimate") is located on the Edit Appointment screen and is linked to tracking of Production Goals.

It is the estimated fee of the selected appointment, based on the fees entered for planned services in the patient's charting.

When an appointment is linked to charting, the fee estimate is the fee for the linked chart appointment.

When the appointment is not linked to charting, the fee estimate is based on the appointment provider(s) private fees for the services listed in the appointment Services field.
