Inactive Ticked

HOF,v12.14

Inactive patients cannot be marked as Head Of Family, and Heads of Family cannot be marked as Inactive

Purpose: This upgrade serves to prevent the practice sending family communications to the wrong addresses of inactive heads of families.

From EXACT v12.14 it is not possible to tick a patient in the list of family members as Head of Family if that patient is Inactive. It is also not possible to make a patient Inactive when that patient is already ticked as the Head of Family.

Tools to help EXACT users resolve this issue:

  • Query - Find patients who are Head Of Family. A query has been added in v12.14 to enable a practice to find patients who are the head of family.
  • The 12.4 and later upgrade processes remove the Head Of Family status for any patients who are inactive.
  • The Search and Change Patient wizard option to mark patients as inactive removes any Head Of Family status.
  • The Delete Aged Data tool removes the Head Of Family status for any patients whom it marks as Inactive.
  • Two super-user tools remove the Head Of Family status for any patients whom they also mark as Inactive:
    - Search and Change Patients tool
    - Conversions Database Split

Edit Chart Item window is now manually resizable

Edit Chart Item window

Historically, reading the clinical notes for a service item from the Chart Tab Treatment Plan / COT area could be awkward because the window was a fixed size, and clicking the "More" hyperlink did not sufficiently display more clinical notes.

From v12.14 the Edit Chart Item window can be manually resized by dragging the borders.

The window size is persistent - once resized, the dimensions become the default Edit Chart Item window size for the current user clicking the "More" hyperlink.
