There are tabs which you can click on to display windows used to view, enter and maintain specific information. The tabs that are displayed depend upon how the practice’s system is configured, and may or may not include all the tabs described below if some features are disabled. It may also include optional tabs not pictured in examples in this help file. Each tab contains patient information. Different information will be displayed on screen depending on which tab is active. Click on any tab to enter, modify or view that information. A tick beside a tab indicates information has been entered in this area, for the current patient.

Details
|
Contains the basic patient information such as name, address and personal details.
|
CDS
|
This tab is used by Practices working as part of the Community Dental Services scheme, and records extra patient information required for CDS purposes.
|
Recalls
|
Stores information about the patient’s Recall settings, appointment history, and referred patient information.
|
Medical
|
Contains the medical history information for the patient.
|
Chart
|
Contains the patient’s treatment information and is used to create plans for future treatment.
|
Pathology
|
Allows you to record and print a soft tissue chart for a patient.
|
Perio
|
Stores a patient’s Periodontal chart. There are two options available: you can view either the full Perio chart or the Basic Perio Chart.

Video
|
Used to import, capture and add patient images to the patient’s record. You can also select an image to be the patient photo displayed in other areas.
|
Xray
|
Allows X-Ray images for the patient to be selected and displayed.
|
Ortho
|
Stores Orthodontic information for the patient, including assessment and treatment details, any orthodontic appliances, and treatment stages.

Notes
|
Stores notes about the patient. These can include general notes such as personalities, interests etc as well as dated notes to record conversations.

Contacts
|
Keeps a record of any contact made between the practice and the patient, whenever the letter symbol or the telephone symbols are used. For practices with the EXDOC module, documents either created or scanned are recorded here. With the EXDOCe module, email contacts are also recorded.

Waitlist
|
Allows a patient to be added to a waitlist pending an appointment time becoming available for treatment to be carried out.
|
Pay Plans
|
If the practice has the EXTEND module, this adds the ability to set up Payment Plans in EXACT based on estimates of the cost of treatment. This is a system for managing payments for patients who wish to pay for treatment over a period of time.

Additional Tabs
|
EXACT allows two additional tabs to be added to the patient record. These tabs are custom screens.
