Before SMS Messaging can be used, you need to set up an account with an SMS provider such as Software of Excellence, and then configure your setup via the 'Email Parameters (Email Parameters, Configure Email and SMS Parameters)' screen. If you are going to send SMS messages regularly, it is useful and efficient to set up SMS templates for commonly used purposes, although you do not need to have templates set up in order to send SMS messages manually.
