Use this report to identify how new patients heard about the practice or about a particular Provider.
NOTE:
- Patients are only reported if they have had a completed appointment. Failed To Arrive patients are not included in the report.
- It is not necessary for patients to have paid to be included in the report.
- When a particular Provider is selected for reporting, patients must be "owned" by that Provider to be included in the report (a Dentist or Hygienist must be specified in the Details tab of the patient file).
Patients who are not owned by a Provider are only included in reporting when the report is for all Providers.
The report can be used to track how effective an advertising medium has been, or to identify patients who are referring friends and family to the practice.

To Run the 'New Patients by Referral' Report
Select Administration > Reports and select New Patients by Referral,

Select the New Patients by Referral report from the Reports desktop:
This will open the Print New Patients by Referral window:

Provider options: To generate a report for the entire practice, leave the Provider(s) field blank. NOTE: This is the only way to include in the report those patients who have no “owning” Provider. To generate a report for an individual Provider choose the Provider with the selector To generate a report for multiple Providers, click the Multiple button |

Use the From and To date fields to define the date range for the report. |

The Include Details check box defines the level of detail for the report.
