Service Code Categories

For charting convenience the list of displayed service items in both Service List tab and Base tab can be differentiated into Categories - smaller groups of similar types.

To view service items in a Service Category

1. Click the drop-down to display the list of available service item categories.

   

2. Click a category to display the list of service items within that category.
3. You can also select the All option to display the complete list of available service items.

Applying service items

Service items are charted differently depending on the type of service.

A general rule for supplying service items is:

• Service items applied to a particular tooth need to be charted on the The Tooth Chart.
• Service items not applied to a particular tooth need to be double-clicked to display them in the Current Course of Treatment area.

Service Categories Configuration

You can add service items to a category both from within The Services File and from within the patient chart screen.

To customise service categories, click the Setup Wizard button .
