This relates to Contact Preferences for business communications
Background
Dental practices are challenged internationally with increasingly strict rules around patient data collection and management:
Failure to comply with the rules and guidelines in these regulations could put dental practices at risk of prosecution.
Furthermore, patients are likely to become more educated on what businesses can and cannot do with their personal data, so dental practices need to optimise their knowledge and procedures around these regulations.
The Marketing Consent feature facilitates patient data collection while assuring dental practice compliance.
Contact Consent feature
To facilitate dental practice regulatory compliance while practices continue their marketing activities, EXACT has a feature to record, track and report on "Contact Consent" - the preferences selected by patients that allow the practice to legally send them marketing-related information.
By default this is enabled as a setting, but it can be disabled in the Contact Consent Configuration.
Contact Consent is integrated into the Appointment Workflow, where Receptionists can be prompted to collect Contact Consent (Preferences) by means of both the Arrivals Task List and the Departure Task List.
Contact Consent can also be conveniently captured via Clinipad:
Tracking and reporting Contact Consent
The Appointment Workflow Compliance Report includes a Marketing Consent line that provides data on how well the practice records marketing consents:
Administrators can use a Contact Preferences Audit tab in the Preferences to Contact Patient window, to view the history of a patient's Opt-ins and Opt-outs:
