The automation capability enables a practice to configure Utilisation Manager and then leave it to independently optimise appointment bookings.

Users can opt for degrees of automation in Utilisation Manager:
Increased revenue through automated filling of the appointment book gaps
Utilisation Manager functions in conjunction with SMS Replies and keywords, so that EXACT responds automatically to patient SMS Replies by booking the appointment gaps and sending designated SMS template confirmations.
In busy practices with many patients, appointment gaps fill automatically, freeing Receptionists for other tasks, and increasing practice revenue.
(Manual option) Receptionists do not need to leave their work screen to fill appointment gaps
Receptionists fill Short Notice gaps within seconds from points in and around the appointment book, without interrupting normal workflow.

Receptionists manage complex tasks by means of powerful automated tools.
The Short Notice List has a popup list of the available Gaps. Receptionist: "Mr Abbott, here are some suitable gaps for you, which would you prefer?" (reads the details and clicks to book the chosen gap)

Utilisation Manager is included with the software upgrade
There is no need to register the Utilisation Manager. With EXACT version 11.2 and later software it comes enabled and pre-configured (you can customise the configuration if necessary). The Short Notice List and Short Notice List screen display by default on software upgrade.
The full automation capability was introduced in EXACT version 11.3 SP4.
