Adding a NEW Appointment to the Short Notice List as it is created

Whenever a user creates a new appointment sufficiently far ahead to qualify for inclusion in the Short Notice List, a prompt appears, asking whether it should be added to the Short Notice List.

To add a new appointment to the Short Notice List as the appointment is created

  1. As you create the appointment (in the future), a popup window asks if it should be added to the Short Notice List:

    AddToSNL

  2. Ask if there are any periods during which they will be unable to attend available appointment gaps - if there are, click the + sign to expand the Dates that the patient cannot attend:

    Example (populated):

    AddToSNL-populated-labelled

See Specifying appointment restrictions for gap offers

  3. Before clicking the Include button,
  4. Select the Include button.

The appointment is then added to the Short notice List, and you will see the colour code icon displayed.

    AddToSNL-SNLDisplay1

The Note is also visible in popup tooltips:

IMPORTANT: If you add multiple Short Notice List appointments to this list for a Patient, a maximum of two will show at a time. This provides users the option of booking one appointment ahead of another if no sequence issue exists, and shows them both appointments so that they can make this judgement call.
