Viewing Statement Account Mode

This view is the option most commonly used from the Front Desk and is the default view when the window is opened.

To view Statement Account Mode

  1. Open the Patient Transactions Window:
  2. Click the button and select View Statement Account.

The main body of this window displays Statement Account transactions for the current patient in date order. In the example above the patient has:

TIP: In the Statement window, you can double-click on any transaction line to view the details of that transaction.

The columns in this window contain the following information:

Column

Description

Debit

Amounts that will increase the patient’s balance

Credit

Amounts that will decrease the patient’s balance

Balance

Displays the difference between the above

Amount Open

Displays amounts that have not yet been allocated.

A negative amount is a receipt that has not yet been allocated to an invoice

A positive amount is an invoice that has not been paid or had a receipt allocated

The total of this column will equal the patient’s balance

The following information is also displayed in this window in all of 3 view modes:

Each transaction has an icon identifying the type of transaction. Click this button to display a list of transaction icons with a description of each.

A tick in the check box will display items that do not affect the patients Balance, e.g. Estimates, Prescriptions.

Displays the total amount outstanding for each period.

Displays:

The Total Due amount for the current patient. Amounts greater than zero are displayed in red. Amounts less than zero (Credit Balances) are prefixed with the negative symbol (-) and displayed in black

The Payor Due amount owing for Treatment costs covered by all outside entities.

The Total Clinical Cost of treatment completed and charged. A negative amount indicates the patient has paid in advance for Treatment. A positive amount would indicate that the patient has received more Treatment than has been invoiced.
