Overview of Address Lookup

Purpose:

Address Lookup enables practitioners to quickly and accurately populate patient addresses in the patient file.

The practitioner solicits address data from a patient and then performs an address Lookup that displays a menu of valid addresses for selection, in a similar way to address lookup in Google Maps.

Features:

There is no need to install iterations of the address software because Address Lookup is a centralised web-based solution that enables the address database to be updated without the need to roll out new versions of software.

Benefits:

• Increases the quality of patient data that is stored locally.
• Reduces typing error or patient error as the practitioner selects only from valid addresses.
• Speeds address entry.
• Where EasyPost is in use it reduces sending failures due to incorrect patient postal addresses.
• Because it is web-based the database of addresses does not need to be periodically updated in your EXACT system.

Requirements:

Address finder must be enabled by Support Desk or FIT Team personnel.

Limitations:

• Practitioners can only perform address lookups for Patient addresses, for storage in the Patient File (not for Providers or Specialists).
• Because the solution is web-based it cannot be used in practices that run EXACT offline.
