Select the block type from the drop-down menu (Block or Clinic).
Type in a description for the Block or Clinic (e.g. Meeting, Course, Holiday).
Enter the Start and End Times in the From Time and To Time fields..
The Repeat Interval check box is used in conjunction with the Days field if you want to repeat this Block or Clinic in a specified number of days, e.g., "7 days" would enter the Block or Clinic each week; if you are blocking time off for a holiday the repeat interval is to be 1 day, you would want the block repeating every 1 day.
The End Date allows you to set an end date for the repeated cycle (e.g., every 7 days until the end of the year).
The Appointment Category field is only available if you are adding a Clinic and allows you to set an appointment category (e.g., emergency time). Each appointment category can have a different colour assigned to identify it in the appointment book. Clicking into the Appointment Category box, then clicking on the button, which appears to the side, will enable you to select or define the colours. From here select a category and click ‘OK’ to select it or press the button to amend it, alternatively you can click on the button and add a new category.
If the block type is 'Clinic' and you are setting a block for a particular payor, click the Payor button, and enter (or select) the payor.
If the block type is 'Clinic' and you are setting a block for Private treatment, click the Private button instead.
Click ‘OK’ to accept the Block or Clinic. Your Block or Clinic will be added to the display above. This may take a few seconds to update if you have used the Repeat option.
Click the ‘Close’ button to close this window and return to the previous window.
